Training and Employment

What does this service offer:

Training for disabled people to learn their rights and how to advocate for themselves and others, and find work doing so.

What we offer: We provide two training courses intended to support disabled people into meaningful work:
  • Advocacy and Employment Training: We will teach you how to defend the rights of disabled people as well as improve your confidence and employability.
  • Hate Crime Training: We will teach you to support disabled survivors of hate crime and find work as a Hate Crime Advocate.

Our training courses also come with work experience placements and job coaching. The course is primarily for disabled people but we do allow a limited number of non-disabled people to attend as well.

How it helps:

The courses are designed to improve awareness of disability rights, get disabled people into work and increase the quality of disability rights workers in the UK. We have a very high success rate in getting disabled people into work.

Project Overview

Below is a brief overview regarding the course aims and some background information about our organisation. To apply you must be 18 years or over.

Due to the high volume of candidates that are interested in enrolling on the course we cannot guarantee that you will get a place on the next course, however we do run 3 courses a year and there is high chance of you enrolling onto the next course. In order to assess any additional support needs you may have and your eligibility, successful applicants will be required to undertake an informal interview.
